The Department of Economics,
Pondicherry Centre came into existence from 15.12.1986
Programme of Study
The Department offers Ph.D. (Full time, Part-time (Internal
& External )) M.Phil. (Full Time) and M.A. (Applied
Economics).
Entrance Examination
The selection for the P.G. and M.Phil. programmes will
be based on a written examination of 2 hours duration. For the M.A.
degree programme the question paper will be set based upon the
bachelor’s degree course and the P.G. level course will be the
basis for the M.Phil and Ph.D. entrance test. The questions for P.G.
entrance examination shall be purely objective and for M.Phil., it
shall be both objective and subjective type.
